奇美集團以創始於1960年的奇美實業為首,屹立全球石化業達40多年,創辦人為許文龍先生。奇美實業為台灣第一家壓克力板生產者,所生產的 ACRYPOLYR 壓克力板已成為台灣壓克力板的代名詞,許文龍先生亦被尊稱為「台灣壓克力之父」。
而「企業是追求幸福的手段」、「人性管理」及「以和為貴」是整個奇美集團運作原則。四十多年來,奇美集團不斷轉型與成長,目前包含六大營利事業群與一個專 司回饋社會的非營利事業群。

About Chi Mei
Founded in 1960 by Mr. Xu Wenlong, the Chi Mei Group is headed by Chi Mei Corporation, an unwavering presence in the global petrochemical industry for more than 40 years. Chi Mei Corporation is the first acrylic manufacturer in Taiwan, and the ACRYPOLYR acrylic sheet produced by the company has since become synonymous with the acrylic industry in Taiwan – earning Mr. Xu Wenlong the title of "Father of Taiwanese Acrylic."
"Enterprise as a means of pursuing happiness", "humanistic management" and "the value in harmony" are the fundamental operational principles of the Chi Mei Group.  For over 40 years, the Chi Mei Group has continued to evolve and grow, and currently incorporates six major profitable enterprise groups and a special non-profit enterprise group that specifically serves the community.


 

奇美發展文化事業有限公司
承襲奇美創辦人許文龍先生的理念---「藝術教育應從欣賞和接觸美好事物開始,進而創造、追求幸福的人生」,奇美博物館於1992年成立。為使大眾在參觀 博物館之餘,也能珍藏對於原作的感動,遂於1997年成立「奇美發展文化事業有限公司」,簡稱奇文公司,致力於博物館典藏藝術品推廣與商品化,希冀藉由奇 文公司的努力,讓藝術薰陶普及於社會大眾,從生活與教育層面調整思維與培養審美觀,落實台灣藝術素養深耕化。

Chi Mei Fine Art Co., Ltd.
Established in 1992, the Chi Mei Museum inherits the ideals of founder Mr. Xu Wenlong ---"an education in the arts should begin from the appreciation and exposure to wonderful objects and events", in the creation and pursuit of happiness in life. Chi Mei Fine Art Ltd., or Chi Wen Co., Ltd was formed in 1997 to allow the public to capture the emotions they experience from viewing the original works at the museum. We take a rigorous approach to all aspects of development and production, creating related artistic merchandise inspired by the collections within the Chi Mei Museum, for the public to own a piece of Chi Mei Museum's most prized items; bringing to life the goal of “artistic lifestyle and lifestyle art” to naturally merge into every aspect of life. It is hoped that through the efforts of Chi Wen Co., Ltd., the arts can be spread throughout the community, in all walks of life and throughout different levels of education, to genuinely affect a change in the thoughts and development of aesthetic appreciation; thereby sowing the seeds for the artistic culture of Taiwan.

奇文公司為更加擴大藝術教育推廣的腳步,於2007年衍生「奇美影音」品牌,以博物館典藏品類別與未來方向為藍圖,網羅世界國家級電視台與製作團隊所製作 的優質藝文教育影片版權素材,並發行為影音商品滿足大眾的求知慾,讓知識與藝術更貼近生活。
透過深入世界各地的攝影鏡頭,開啟豐富多元的視野廣角,艱澀冰冷的藝術、歷史知識將活潑呈現,提供社會大眾更多選擇性與吸收新知的管道,進而推廣藝術教 育。

奇美影音的字體設計與CHIMEI為統一CI規劃,延伸其以人本為中心,並加入電影膠捲的概念,右方襯以冷灰色的奇美影音字體,使整個標準字更為均 衡完整,不但明白標示出商品的性質,也自然烘托出簡潔的現代感。

Chi Mei Movies was established in 2007 with the aim of further driving the progress of art education and advocacy. In addition to compiling original recordings of classical music and satisfying the public’s thirst for knowledge, Chi Mei Museum’s current collections and planned future directions are also used as blueprints in search of quality art education videos and copyrighted material produced by international television broadcasters and production teams.  Knowledge and art are brought closer to our lives through the rich images and captions while the difficult and reserved artistic knowledge presented in an animated and lively way; offering the community even more channels to absorb knowledge and furthering the promotion of art education to the general public.

‧Brand Identity

Chi Mei Movies applies the same font design for a uniform corporate identity and to extend the ideals of putting people at the heart of its focus; added to this is a concept of the traditional film reel. On its right are the Chinese characters in cold grey, complementing the dark blue colour tone and balancing the overall design. Not only does the design serve to reflect the nature of the products, it also highlights out the simple yet pristine ideals of this contemporary brand.
